We are a welcoming community of Brazilian Zouk lovers trying to spread this unique couple dance in Rome and throughout Italy. Our community leaders are Javier, Amanda and Marilena.
Brazilian Zouk is a couple dance with roots in the Lambada from Brazil and influenced by several other dances, including Brazilian Bolero, salsa, west coast swing, hip-hop, jazz, and contact improv.
We organize different activities and participate in events within Italy and Europe.
We hold regular lessons weekly in very convenient locations easily reachable by public transportation. Currently, our regular lessons are on Wednesdays in Pigneto and Thursdays at Sakura Gym (Via Vestricio Spurinna, 32, 00175 Roma RM) close to the Numidio Quadrato metro stop, Metro A. Contact us for the most updated location and times or click here!
Also, we organise lessons and socials in different open spaces throughout the city.
Our local instructor, Javier Concha, is a MAC certified instructor.
We organise special workshops and weekeners with local and international artists. Some of the artists that have been teaching for us are The Ramalho siblings, Charles Espinoza and Emma Housner, Anna Steklova, Natalia Pcholkina, Carlos and Anastasia, Celine and Clement, Anna Russa, Iago and Ninna, Lucy Kafková, Sara Lecci, Larissa Secco, and Aline and Rafael.
Our big event is SHARomE, hosted annually in November. We bring together local and international teachers to create a mini festival. Past invited artists include Gui Prada and Paloma Alves, Leo and Ana, Rudy and Chiara, Alex de Carvalho, and Javi and Lucy. This year (2024) we are bringing William and Irene.
